Call AXIS First

Call AXIS First is a health care initiative that encourages members to contact AXIS about after hour’s health concerns. A call to the AXIS after hours number is answered by a nurse care coordinator. We are able to respond in real time to member concerns in a manner that supports clinical initiatives designed to address risk factors specific to the population we serve. The objective of Call AXIS First is to ensure that AXIS members receive appropriate care when they need it and avoid unnecessary ER visits.

AXIS has a nurse a telephone call away to respond to member’s health concerns.
